Mikael Bartroff has left his post as Turkey General Manager of IKEA, the famous Swedish furniture brand which opened its first store in Turkey in May 2005. Bartroff is a graduate of the Economics Department at Copenhagen Business University and began his career as Director of the Financial Department at Magasin Du Nord. He worked at Ikea Greece in 1984-1989, Ikea Australia in 1989-1992, Ikea Belgium and the Netherlands 1992-2005 and had been General Manager of Ikea Turkey since 2005. Although the company has yet to make an official statement, it has been announced that Bartroff’s place will be taken by Selim Yekta Işık, who was previous General Manager at Çarşı Stores.
New Head For LG Electronics
Christopher Kim has been appointed to head LG Electronics Türkiye, one of the leading brands in consumer electronics and mobile communication. At the end of the restructuring process, the South Korean Kim will, in addition to Turkey, be responsible for Israel, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Libya. Kim is a graduate of the Han Kook University of Foreign Studies Business Department and began working as a department manager in LG Electronics America. Later he served, in order, as Managing Director for LG Australia, CSO in the head office in Hong Kong and Plasma Screen Department Co-President in Seoul.
Rodelli Appointed To Head Sistem Yapi Polska
Sistem Yapı, which is one of the leading companies in the environmental technologies sector, has appointed the Italian environmental technologies expert Giuseppe Rodelli as Country Manager of Sistem Yapı Polska, the new company it has established in Poland. Rodelli began his career as an electromechanical consultant in a petrochemical plant and served for four years as procurement manager in industrial and civil turnkey projects. Before being appointed to head Sistem Yapı Polska, Rodelli served as Assistant General Manager for Technical Applications at Sistem Yapı’s headquarters in Istanbul.
